This storage basket is handmade using bamboo, a natural product and environmentally friendly. This Farmhouse Basket stands 15.0 inch tall and is 8.0 inch wide and 8.0 inch deep. The seashells was glued in the basket, wrapped in jute rope around the neck and hand designed with hand-picked seashells.
This exquisite bamboo basket has several unique cultural significances. For example, in Japanese culture, it resembles classic style basket vase used for the Chabana floral arrangements, displayed during the Tea Ceremony. While in Burmese culture, it was known as a ‘Tribal Basket’ and used in the many facets of traditional life of ‘Burmese People’ for various purposes, including during working in the farm or during fishing.
