Description
Shell large, solid and heavy with a slightly rectangular aperture. Outer surface usually ornamented with brown zigzag lines. Spire low with domed apex. Shoulder usually rounded, occasionally spinous or bearing axial ridges. Aperture wide and elongate, outer lip slightly, straight and posteriorly curved. Parietal wall white and heavily calloused, columella with four strong plaits. Siphonal fasciole strong, no operculum. Color re-brown or somtimes whitish with wavy axial lines and darker blotches arranged into two spiral bandsSpecimens without pattern have been rarely collected.Juvenile specimens have very large, brown and domed apex. Animal inside the shell has a large and black foot with many orange spots of various sizes.Distribution: Vung Tau, Phan Thiet, Phan Rang, Ca Na, Long Hai, Can Gio,etc. Size:9-15cm
